Bodorgan Estate, Anglesey

We were required to identify hazardous trees within the estate and to compile a comprehensive Tree Report for the entire estate together with any recommendations of necessary safety work, the report needed to prioritise any important/dangerous issues. We have now completed this work along with the removal of any diseased and dangerous Tree Stock and compiled a management plan for the future.

Thornley Leisure Park Ltd, Colwyn Bay

We were required to identify hazardous trees within the caravan site and remove any that where causing a potential safety hazard, this included pruning of trees and deadwooding trees where required. We are now responsible for the ongoing management of the trees within Thornley Leisure Park to enable all caravans to safely remain in situ.

Conwy County Borough Council, Various Sites

We are proud to be members of the Conwy Council approved contractors list. We regularly work on various sites within the Borough and provide services to them including pruning and deadwooding trees that are encroaching on to other properties, removing dead, dying, diseased or otherwise dangerous trees from any public spaces and where possible replacing the tree with a sapling of the same species.

Conwy & Debinghshire NHS Trust, Various Sites

Pabo Tree Services are responsible for general day to day maintenance of the trees on all sites within the Conwy & Denbighshire NHS Trust Sites, this involves general pruning and day today maintenance but also monitoring and reporting on any dangerous trees and partial or complete removal in order to ensure compliance with Health & Safety.

Strutt & Parker, Chester

Strutt & Parker chose Pabo Tree Services to complete a full safety assessment of the Kinmel Estate prior to the start of the events season for 2008, in order to make the estate safe we recently completed deadwooding the estate and reduction in the number of trees in certain areas.

Alex Davies Construction, Llandulas

In order for Alex Davies Construction to complete the renovation of the uninhabitable 19th Century Stone Build Plas Dulas, some 79 trees had to be removed, 14 trees reduced to the crown and prune & clean an additional 50 trees, all of which had to be completed in close proximity to the already fragile structure. With use of our expertise and machinery Pabo Tree Services where able to complete all the specified works with no damage to the building.

Environment Agencies Wales, Sustainable Fisheries Project.

In order to complete the sustainable fisheries project, it was necessary for the Environment Agency Wales in partnership with Pabo Tree Services to thin out and remove trees along the banks of the project to allow light to pass through and inturn encourage fish to spawn in the area. This was a mammoth task and involved removal of some large specimen trees in very small spaces close to the river banks. Thanks to some of our heavy machinery, expertise and in some cases sheer willpower Pabo where able to complete this mammoth task.

Conwy County Borough Council.

Conwy Council suspected that there was a problem with a large tree within the Pentre Mawr Park and asked us to investigate and report on its state of health. After Picus tomagraph tests where completed on the tree we found there to be a large decayed cavity at the base of the tree making it highly unstable. In order to make it safe the tree had to be removed and a new sapling of the same species planted in its place along with a bench made from the old tree. The project was also watched by pupils from a local school and members of the council as part of a ongoing educational package involving Pabo Tree Services and Conwy County Borough Council.

Mr& Mrs Harvey, Penmaenmawr.

We often get asked “Can you take down a problem tree in my back garden” but rarely are we presented with a problem like Mr & Mrs Harvey gave us. They needed us to take down their 90ft tall Corsican Pine tree which was 6ft from their summerhouse and if it collapsed would demolish either their home or one of their neighbours. The tree was slowly taken down section by section with no damage to Mr & Mrs Harvey’s or any other property.
